The Mine is a catalyst for social innovation.
We’re equipping Tulsa’s entrepreneurs, creatives, non-profits, and developers to create a better world. We’re part prestigious fellowship, part curated programming and all impact.
We bring together the best of both worlds.
Social innovation and entrepreneurship apply business principles and startup approaches to creatively address community issues.
Our goal is combining the best of entrepreneurial innovation, ownership and sustainability with the best of the social sector’s compassion and empathy.
Our Fellows engage in community-based, high impact projects.
The Fellowship is a nine-month professional program implementing community-impact and social innovation projects to challenging Tulsa’s top professional talent. Fellows work in teams of 5 peers on important, high-visibility projects that benefit Tulsa.
Each project receives a $10,000 seed fund and determines the most effective way to spend the seed fund, which could include website construction, equipment purchasing, technology design, or travel to see best practices.
During the process, Fellows learn and experience the best of consulting frameworks from top management firms and startup methodologies, human-centered design, and Lean Launch Pad emphasis on customer discovery.
Our Fellows are active at 36°N and in the Tulsa entrepreneurial community.
The Fellowship takes over 36°N every other Thursday. As Tulsa’s base camp for entrepreneurs, we also host as many events at 36°N as possible.
Empower yourself by attending a community event or challenge yourself in our prestigious fellowship program.
The Mine is powered by the George Kaiser Family Foundation, The Lobeck Taylor Family Foundation and the University of Oklahoma Ronnie K. Irani Center for the Creation of Economic Wealth.
